Walworth County CBCW Training Event - Thursday, June 4, 2026
Lake Beulah Management District (LBMD) is going to conduct a trial of the Wisconsin Clean Boats, Clean Lakes (CBCL) program on Lake Beulah this summer (2026).
Based on the results of the trial program, LBMD will consider applying for a grant from the WI DNR in the fall of 2026 for funding for a formal CBCL program for the 2027 season.
LBMD will be meeting with the leaders of the CBCW programs on Potters Lake and Lauderdale Lakes to learn from them on how to effectively execute our program.
For the trial program, the plan is to have one or two volunteer, trained boat inspectors stationed at the boat launch on Saturdays and Sundays during the busy boating season. There will be two (2) shifts each day. The shifts will be from 8:00AM to 1:00PM and 1:00PM to 6:00PM.
For the formal program in 2027, the trained boat inspectors will be a combination of volunteer and paid positions.
In order to execute the pilot (trial) program this season, LBMD is recruiting volunteers to be trained boat inspectors at the boat launch.
Walworth County is conducting a free training program.
The Walworth County CBCW training event will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at the Walworth County Government Center located at 100 W. Walworth Street in Elkhorn.
The event is FREE and open to the public. Register online by June 1st.
